PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - A Pleasantville woman reported to police that a laptop and wireless router were stolen from her Bedford Road home.
The woman reported the items missing at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasantville Police Department headquarters. She told police who she suspects is behind the alleged larceny. The person was interviewed and the incident is being investigated, police said.
In other police news:
• A 19-year-old driver reportedly crashed into a Grandview Avenue utility pole around 4:15 p.m. July 28, forcing a road closure. The driver was in the green Toyota Forerunner with his 55-year-old father and an 18-year-old passenger, police said. Police contacted Con Ed following the accident, and the road between Manville and Eastview roads was closed for four hours while the pole was repaired.
• A man outside 448 Bedford Road was told to beat it and not return Monday after police received reports of him panhandling and attempting to buy beer for minors. Police described the man as being white, in his mid-40s, and wearing shorts and light shirt.
