CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y. - NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital is operating regularly following a phone threat that prompted a New York State Police investigation.

On Tuesday afternoon, “out of an abundance of caution,” police were notified of a reportedly threatening phone call that was made to the hospital.

In a statement, Hudson Valley Hospital officials said that the hospital was not on lockdown and that they only acted as a precaution. The nature of the threat has not been disclosed.

"NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital is operating as usual for patient care; the hospital is not on lockdown,” they noted. “Earlier today, as a result of a phone call made to the hospital, and out of an abundance of caution, we notified the New York State Police and they are conducting an investigation. The safety of our patients, our staff, and our community as always is our paramount concern."
