PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - A home on Chestnut Street in Pleasantville was damaged Wednesday morning when a small fire started in the home's attic, according to Pleasantville Fire Department First Asst. Chief Manny Colmenares.

Colmenares said that one resident was home when the fire began shortly after 10 a.m., but that no one was injured in the blaze.

Members of the Pleasantville Fire Department had the fire under control by around 11:30 a.m. and the damage did not spread from the attic of the two-story house.

Colmenares said a cause of the fire was not determined and is still under investigation.
