Ex-Ossining Bank Manager Stole $1.4M, Police Say

OSSINING, N.Y. -- Ossining detectives arrested a former M&T Bank manager for allegedly stealing $1.4 million from two customers, according to LoHud.com.

Maria Rodriguez, 46, reportedly began systematically stealing money from a woman by writing checks to cash and using an ATM card connected with the account. The other victim is reportedly a 92-year-old retired police officer, LoHud.com reported. 

Police began investigating the incident when the police officer and his family reported irregularities in his bank account. Police said the bank also began an internal investigation after receiving several reports on its whistleblower hotline, LoHud.com said.
