"We're still waiting for evidence to come back," Detective Sgt. John Nikotopolis said. "Hopefully I can tell you more next week."

Nikotopolis declined to discuss any details of the investigation, including whether a toxicology report has been completed.

A toxic mix of different drugs were present in Lacey's system, the toxicology report revealed, according to a News 12 report. FiOS1 News previously reported Lacey had significant amounts of Benadryl in her system.

Lacey's mother, Kathleen Dymes, who was found unconscious in the house, was released late last month from Phelps Memorial Hospital. She has hired Christopher Mahler, an attorney who is based in Carmel.

No charges have been filed in connection with Lacey's death. The investigation is ongoing and authorities are examining the possible presence of alcohol and drugs in Dymes' system, News 12 reported.

Dymes and Lacey were found by Lacey's father, David Carr. Dymes and Lacey lived at the home with Dymes' father, Kevin.

Police have ruled out carbon monoxide as a cause of death.
