Car Window Smashed In Hawthorne Driveway

HAWTHORNE, N.Y. ? The window of a Hawthorne resident's car was smashed while the vehicle was parked in the homeowners driveway late last week, according to Mount Pleasant Police.

Police say the Manhattan Avenue resident discovered the damage around 8:50 a.m. on Feb. 21. The rear driver's side window of the 2008 Nissan Altima was smashed. Police said they believe the incident occurred during the overnight hours. Nothing was taken from the vehicle, and police did not have a damage estimate for the window repair.

  • On Jan. 23 at around 3:10 p.m. the mailbox at a home on Heritage Drive in Pleasantville was smashed. The homeowner said the mailbox was damaged by an individual driving a small black SUV, police said. The driver stopped, got out of the car and hit the mailbox with an unknown object, according to the police.
