BRIARCLIFF MANOR, N.Y. -- Firefighters rescued a resident trapped instead of a burning duplex at 291 N. State Road, lohud.com reported.

The fire was reported at approximately 3 p.m. The Briarcliff firefighters responded, as did Ossining, Pleasantville and Chappaqua and other fire departments and EMS crews, according to lohud.com.

One person was injured during the fire and taken to Westchester Medical Center, lohud.com said. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation lohud.com reported.
