$1M Lotto-Winning Former Priest Faces Sex Crime Charge

PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. – An ex-priest who won $1 million in the lottery 30 years ago is being held in the Putnam County Jail on charges of a sex crime, reported LoHud.com.

Joseph Faraone, 68, was charged with a second-degree criminal sexual act, a felony.

Faraone was a priest from 1972 to 2006 in Hopewell Junction, Carmel, Yorktown and Mount Kisco, according to LoHud.com.

He won $1.17 million from the New York Lottery in 1985.
