VALHALLA, N.Y. Rose Carpenito Capolongo of Valhalla, and formerly of White Plains, died Aug. 7, surrounded by her family. She was 86.
Born Nov. 30, 1925, in White Plains, Capolongo was the daughter of Felix and Antoinette Ricciardelli Carpenito. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael; two sisters, Vera and Tessie; and five brothers, Dominick, Mario, Joe, Sonny and Guido.
Capolongo is survived by two children, Carol Capolongo (John) Magnotta, of Stamford, Conn., and Anthony (Joanne) Capolongo, of Valhalla; a sister, Angelina Magnotta; four brothers, Frank, Mitty, Anthony "Tony" and Raymond Carpenito; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in White Plains. A Mass of Christian burial will then be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Greenburgh. Hawthorne Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
