PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Robert C. Carnes, of Pleasantville, died on Sunday, May 17. He was 79.
Carnes was born on Nov. 29, 1935, in Brooklyn to Charles Delia (Carroll) Carnes, working as a registered nurse at Ruth Taylor Hospital in Valhalla.
He is survived by his wife, Gay, son Stephen, daughter Veronica Jennings, brothers Dennis and Terence, sisters Mary Owens, Maud MacStoker, and grandchildren RJ, Sarah and Thomas.
Visiting hours are Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Leach & Thomas, Inc., 32 State St., in Ossining.
The funeral service will be on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Ossining United Methodist Church.
Interment will follow at Dale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Metropolitan Opera, 30 Lincoln Center, New York City, NY 10023 or to the Ossining United Methodist Church.
