Patrick 'Ducky' Coyne, 60, Nypd Officer From Mount Kisco Served During 9/11

MOUNT KISCO, N.Y. -- Patrick T. Coyne, better know as “Ducky,” passed away on Sunday, March 12 in Mount Kisco with his loving family by his side.

He was a retired sergeant with the New York Police Department, where he served for more than 20 years.

A funeral home spokesman said Mr. Coyne's death was related to his exposure to toxins after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. 

He was born on Aug. 29, 1956, in the Bronx, the son of Michael and Ellen O’Sullivan Coyne. 

He was raised and educated in Washington Heights. 

Mr. Coyne met the love of his life and married Maryann More on June 10, 1989, at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Washington Heights.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Maryann; his loving sister, Eileen (John) Connelly; and brother, Michael (Margarita) Coyne.

He also leaves behind his 10 nieces & nephews and 14 great-nieces and nephews. 

Family and friends are invited to Cassidy-Flynn Funeral Home Inc. 288 East Main St. in Mt. Kisco on Thursday, March 16 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for visitation. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Mr. Coyne at St. Francis of Assisi Church on Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m. 

Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery,  Mount Kisco.
