PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. Nancy Welles Pendleton of Pleasantville died June 1. She was 93.
Born in Weathersfield, Conn., Pendleton was a graduate of Wellesley College. She was a former resident of Clearwater, Fla. and was the wife of the late Sumner Alden Pendleton. She enjoyed volunteering in hospitals, participating in the Girl Scouts and directing and accompanying choral groups.
She is survived by two sisters, Jane Addicott and Judith Welles; a daughter, Nancy (Harry) Dyer; a son, John (Lynn) Pendleton; three granddaughters; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Henry Pendleton.
There will be a memorial service at 5 p.m. Saturday at Emanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Pleasantville.
