PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Marion Jean, most recently of Pleasantville and a former longtime resident of Valhalla, died April 12. She was 84.
Jean was born Jan. 8, 1929, to Petro and Margaret (nee DeStefano) Apuzzo in Jamaica, Queens. Jean was a retired self-employed hairdresser and homemaker in Valhalla. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Seniors.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Linda J. DeFiore (John) of Scotia; brothers, Andrew Petrazzuoli (partner) Brian SooHoo of San Francisco, Calif., and John (Pam) Petrazzuoli of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; three grandsons; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Roland A. Jean; sisters, Emma Carey and Jane Ann Irving; and brother, Salvatore Apuzzo.
Calling hours are Thursday, April 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hawthorne Funeral Home . A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m. in Holy Name of Jesus Church, Valhalla. Interment, Mt.Calvary Cemetery, Greenburgh.
