PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Lidia (Torchia) Marcella, died on Tuesday, Aug. 4. She was 90.
Marcella was born on June 24, 1925, in Marcellinara, Calabria, Italy, emigrating to the United States in 1947 and eventually settling in Pleasantville.
Marcella is survived by her five children, Connie Belotti and her husband John, Frank, James and his wife Karen, Rose Randone and her husband Chris, and Linda Jackson and her husband Mark; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother, Alfred Torchia and a sister, Angela Cottini.
She was predeceased by her sisters ,Giovanna, Maria, and brothers, Anthony, Victor and Salvatore Torchia.
Visiting hours will be at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, 418 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
