John McColl, 88, Of Pleasantville, Retired New York Telephone Co. Employee

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - John McColl, a 60-year resident of Pleasantville, died May 3. He was 88.

McColl was born March 10, 1925. He retired from the New York Telephone Co. in 1987, after 40 years of service. He was a master carpenter and all-round craftsman. He served in the Navy in World War II. He was a parishioner at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church and a member of the Mount Pleasant Seniors.

McColl is survived by his wife, Catherine (nee Egan); son, David (Amelia); a grandson; and brother, William.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 8  at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church, Pleasantville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in McColl's honor to Rosary Hill Home, 600 Linda Avenue, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
