Francis Glinski, 80, Lifelong Pleasantville Resident

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Francis P. Glinski, a lifelong Pleasantville resident, died Jan. 12. He was 80.

He was born Oct. 17, 1932, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and Mary Fitzpatrick Glinski. A Korean War veteran, he loved his country, his family said.

He is survived by six children, Loraine, Laura, Francis Jr., Lynette, Kara and Katy; a daughter-in-law, Patti; a son-in-law, John; his friend, Anna; two brothers, George and Bernard; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Glinski was predeceased by his wife of 51 years, the former Joyce Karp; an infant daughter, Mary; a son, Steven; a brother, Roy; and sister, Martha.

Visitation is from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hawthorne Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Wednesday, at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville. Burial with military honors will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Pleasantville.
