Florindo 'Tom' Vassallo, 87, Pleasantville Resident

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Florindo " Tom" Vassallo, of Pleasantville, formerly of the Bronx, died Monday, Feb. 8. He was 87.

He was born May 11, 1928, to Josephine (Kovac) and Ralph Vassallo. 

He served in the Army from 1950-52 in Germany. He worked in the printing/graphic arts industry for over 50 years in New York City. He participated in many club activities over the years including Uniford Bowling League, Rams Rod and Reel Club and the Pleasantville Clinton Street Senior Center where he enjoyed calling and playing bingo. He was an avid New York sports fan, supporting the Yankees, Giants, Rangers and Knicks.

He was the husband of Joan (Krasinski), father to Tom (Dr. Annemarie McAllister), Susan (Gerard) Cecchetelli and Diane (Mark) Suchanek; grandfather to Dan, Julie, Chris, Alyssa, Matt, Jaclyn and Will. 

The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Beecher Flooks Funeral Home, Inc., where his funeral service will be held Friday at 11 a.m.
