Beatrice R. Oehl, 85, Pleasantville Resident

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Beatrice "Bea" Reilly Oehl, a longtime Pleasantville resident, died Sunday, Dec. 20, in Austin, Texas. She was 85.

She was born June 1, 1930, to Edward J. and Beatrice McGuire Reilly. 

She lived in Pleasantville for more than 50 years and worked in the Mount Pleasant Library from 1977 until her retirement. 

A regular communicant at Holy Innocents Church, she was involved in serving others through her parish and the senior center.

She is survived by her children Elizabeth Duke (Richard); Kathleen Oehl (Peter Carlson); Patricia Oehl (Phillip Studwell); Mary Ellen Clifford; F. Christopher Oehl (Karen Oehl); and Amy Garrahan; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and sisters Margaret LaMassa and Cleo Reilly.

She was predeceased by her husband, Frank W. Oehl Jr.; and daughters Margaret Ann Oehl and Barbara Jean Bonaventure.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. at Holy Innocents Church in Pleasantville. Interment will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation to Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers, 55 Ryder Road, Ossining, NY 10562 is suggested.
