PEEKSKILL, N.Y. - Barbara J. Richards, a longtime Peekskill area resident, Aug. 30. She was 69.

Richards was born Feb. 6, 1944, daughter of John and Laura (Zeliph) Richards. She worked for over 30 years as a programmer at Readers’ Digest in Pleasantville, until retiring.

Richards is survived by her sister, Susan (Jeff) Tremble; niece, Morgan Laura Tremble; and aunts, Florence Croft and Barbara Zoll. She was predeceased by her mother, Laura Richards.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Sept. 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the E.O. Curry Funeral Home, Peekskill, where a funeral service will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery, Cortlandt Manor.
