Government offices will be closed in Pleasantville on Wednesday, Jan. 1, New Year's Day.

What's closed:

Mount Pleasant Town Hall and Pleasantville Village Hall will be open during regular hours on New Year's Eve. Both buildings will be closed on New Year's Day
The Mount Pleasant Public Library in Pleasantville will hold modified hours on New Year's Eve and will be closed New Year's Day.
The library branch in Valhalla will be open on New Year's Eve and closed on New Year's Day.
All schools in the Mount Pleasant area will be closed.

What's open:

The Thornwood A&P and the Thornwood ShopRite will be open during regular hours on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
For those wishing to see a movie, the Jacob Burns Center in Pleasantville and the Hawthorne Multiplex will be open on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.
Check with individual restaurants and other retail outlets for any special holiday hours on Wednesday.
