This Week in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Each week there are multiple public meetings in the Village of Pleasantville.  These meetings are ways for residents to stay informed about recent developments in the village, and to also get involved in the community.  Here is a quick list of what is scheduled to take place this week.

-On Monday, the Pleasantville Board of Trustees will hold a regular scheduled work session at village hall at 7 p.m.  On the agenda for this work session includes recycling committee 2012 initiatives and review of Northern Westchester Energy Action Consortium Agreement.  For a full list of agenda items, visit the village website.

-The Pleasantville Beautification Committee will also meet Monday evening at 7:30 p.m. on the third floor of Village Hall.  No agenda for this meeting has been posted yet.

-Pleasantville Fund for Leaning will meet Monday evening at the Pleasantville High School library at 7:30 p.m.  No agenda for this meeting has yet been posted.

-Tuesday, the Pleasantville Union Free School District Board of Education will hold a regular scheduled meeting at the Pleasantville High School library at 7:30 p.m.   On the agenda for this meeting includes advisory committee reports and preliminary 2012-13 budget analysis.

-Also on Tuesday, the Pleasantville Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Committee will meet on the third floor of village hall at 8 p.m.  For a list of agenda items, call Linda Bellofatto at 914-769-7950.

-The Pleasantville Public Safety Committee will hold a regular meeting on Wednesday at 10 a.m. on the second floor of village hall.  For a list of agenda items, contact Police Chief Richard Love at 914-769-1500.

-The Pleasantville Planning Commission will meet Wednesday night on the second floor of village hall at 8 p.m.  On the agenda for this meeting includes proposals to construct a three-story building on the corner of Cooley Street and Bedford Road and plans to make expansions to the existing abandoned MLA factory building on Marble Avenue for Zwilling J.A. Henckels new headquarters.
