This Week in Pleasantville Schools

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – A great way for parents to stay involved with their child’s school is to stay informed about the many events that take place every week and to also attend as many public meetings as possible. This week in the Pleasantville Union Free School District, there are multiple events and meetings for parents to attend.  Here is a quick list of items scheduled for this week.

Monday evening will be the annual joint meeting between the Board of Education and the Pleasantville Village Board of Trustees. The two will meet at Village Hall Monday at 7:30 p.m. This can be a great opportunity to not only stay informed about Pleasantville schools, but also what is going on within the village as well.

Tuesday will be the Planning & Advisory Committee kickoff meeting with the Board of Education. The Planning & Advisory Committee is a group of committee members that are put together in order to involve the community of Pleasantville in constructing a better budget for the upcoming school year. The committee will meet at 7 p.m. in the Pleasantville High School Library and will be followed by the Board of Education’s regular meeting, scheduled to start at 8 p.m.

For the parents of children wishing to participate in winter sports this year at Pleasantville High School, there will be an information meeting Thursday night at the high school auditorium. Coaches from all winter sports teams will be in attendance.  The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
