PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - A Pleasantville High School student was approached twice Thursday afternoon by a suspicious taxi driver, according to Superintendent Mary Fox-Alter.
Fox-Alter said the female student was leaving the high school when she was approached by a man in a white taxi cab who offered the student a ride. After the student refused and continued to walk away, the driver followed her and asked for directions near the Bedford Road School.
Fox-Alter said that no criminal behavior was reported and that Pleasantville Police have been notified.
In late January , two Pleasantville Middle School boys were approached while standing on the corner of Washington Ave. and Manville Road by a man in a white car with the word 'TAXI' hand-painted on the side in black paint.
The driver, described as an elderly man with a beard and dark hair, asked the boys if they wanted a ride, which they refused.
Police have not confirmed if the two incidents are related.
