Tarrytown Woman Died Of Natural Causes

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. -- The Westchester Medical Examiner's office reported Thursday that Karen Brown of Tarrytown, who was found by police after a report of a gas leak brought emergency personnel to her home on Wednesday, Oct. 9, died of natural causes.

According to the Westchester County Medical Examiner, Brown, 45, suffered a  “spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage,” or stroke, which caused her death. There were no suspicious circumstances in Brown's death according to the report.

Brown was found dead in her Tarrytown apartment Wednesday at 191 South Broadway near the intersection of Church Street.

Tarrytown Police and Con Edison said they did not find a gas leak in the home.
