- New York State Crime Stoppers and Westchester County police are offering a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the murder of Pleasantville volunteer firefighter Tom Dorr 18 years ago, according to a press release.
- New York State Police conducted a DWI enforcement detail in the t owns of Cortlandt and Lewisboro on Saturday, Jan. 11, into Sunday, Jan. 12, that resulted in five alcohol-related arrests, police officials said.
- New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested a Danbury, Conn., man who was speeding along I-684 at approximately 90 miles per hour before crashing into a trooper's car just north of the Westchester County border on Wednesday at 11:05 p.m., according to police.
- Bradley Cooper, an alumnus of what is now Pace University's Actors Studio Drama School , was nominated Thursday morning for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
