Pleasantville Teachers Union Marches For New Contract

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- More than 50 members of the Pleasantville teachers union marched downtown last Wednesday to bring attention to the fact that they have been working with an expired contract since last year, according to The Examiner News.

The Teachers Association of Pleasantville started at the Mount Pleasant Public Library on Bedford Road and walked to to Memorial Plaza, Washington Avenue and Wheeler Avenue before heading back to the library in what was a 45-minute round trip. 

Union members clad in black with green lettering, hoped to start negotiations on a new contract, according to The Examiner News.
