Pleasantville Summer Camps are Plenty of Fun

This summer in Pleasantville, there are plenty of summer camps available but time is running short so enroll now!

The Pleasantville Day Camp is the place for children from Pre-K to grade 6. The camp has a Tiny Tot camp for three and four year olds which runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., at $460 for residents and $615 for non-residents.  The Junior Camp is a half day camp for children grades K through 2, which costs $330 for residents and $535 for non-residents. The Senior Camp is a full day camp (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) which accepts children from first grades through 6 at a cost of $815 for a resident and $930 for non-residents. To register, please visit the Recreation Office in Village Hall and fill out a registration form. After May 13, a $75 late fee will be added if spaces are available.

There is also the JBFC Media Lab Camp, which accepts children ages 4 to 15 where youngsters are educated on every facet of filmmaking -- from makeup, to sound and film.  The one-week camp at the Media Arts Lab for ages 4-7 is $340 or $306 for JBFC family members and the three-week camp for students ages 8-15 is $1,950 ($1,755 for JBFC members). The one-week camp runs from 9 a.m. to noon daily while the three-week camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Interested? Please contact registrar@burnsfilmcenter.org or call 914-773-7663 ext. 8.

There is a new summer camp at Tutor Time Child Care and Learning Center on 480 Bedford Road in Pleasantville, which accepts children from six weeks to 12 years old. For the infants and younger children, the program focuses on introducing school programs. The older children receive workbook-based activities to improve their math, science and literacy skills.
