Pleasantville Sign Dug Up, Placed on Parked Car

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - A "No Parking" sign on Grove Street was reportedly removed from the ground and placed on top of a nearby parked vehicle last week. The owner of the gray Toyota Siena reported to Pleasantville Police that he noticed the sign on top of his car at 5 a.m., May 20. Police said the sign left minor scrapes on the car.

According to the report, there were no witnesses and no arrests have been made. A  village Department of Public Works crew placed the sign back in the ground.

The following items were also reported by Pleasantville Police:

  • A 32-year-old Pleasantville man was arrested on Booth Street on Friday on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
  • A White Plains woman reported to Pleasantville Police that her wallet was stolen from her pocket book while she was at Tutor Time with her child. The wallet went missing between 3 and 5 p.m. Friday. According to the report, the wallet contained $20 in cash, a driver's license, a Social Security card, a Visa card, a Medicare card, and an insurance card.
  • A Pleasantville woman reported to police at 3:34 p.m., May 18, that her wallet was stolen from her parked car while at Soldiers and Sailors Field. Reported missing was $450 in cash, various credit cards, and a passport.
