Pleasantville School District Reaches Out To Community For Drug Prevention

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Pleasantville School District officials are working on getting the community more involved in preventing substance abuse among teenagers, The Examiner reports.

Some options include ways to get at-risk children more involved in purposeful activities that interest them and to continue having police monitor areas where teenagers tend to congregate.

In a recent incident, Pleasantville High School students were hospitalized on Sept. 11 after smoking synthetic marijuana in a parking lot off school grounds.
