Safe Choice examined statistics that included violent and property crimes in order to rank the municipalities throughout the Empire State.
The village of only 7,000 residents scored high in both crime categories, with zero violent crimes per 1,000 and only 4.79 property crimes per 1,000.
Overall, Pleasantville was rated safer than 93 percent of cities in America.
Briarcliff Manor was rated the safest overall in New York and safer than 98 percent of all cities in the U.S.
