PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. Each week, the Pleasantville Police Department responds to various calls and crimes within the village. These activities are recorded in the departments police blotter. Here are some recent items from this past week.
On December 6, Anthony Saline, 18 of Chappaqua, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief after officers responded to a disturbance off Roselle Avenue. Saline was allegedly driving and doing "donuts" on the Roselle Park field in his 2007 Ford Expedition. Two minors were passengers in the vehicle and were not charged with any crime.
On December 6, an 87 year old Pleasantville resident willingly surrendered a firearm to the Pleasantville Police Department with no arrest made. The firearm was a Mossberg Model 195D 12 gauge shotgun. No serial number was present on the gun and it was placed in the departments armory.
In the week of December 6 to December 14, the Pleasantville Police Department responded to a total of 69 calls in the village.
