PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. The Pleasantville Police Department responds to emergency calls throughout the village of Pleasantville. Below is a list of crime information from the department over the past week.
Nicholas Lopez, 21 of Mt. Kisco, turned himself in at police headquarters on Wheeler Avenue on January 23, and was arrested on charges of grand larceny. Lopez allegedly stole blank payroll checks from an undisclosed business on Bedford Road in Pleasantville. An investigation on the incident is ongoing by Detective Herb Peterson.
Officers reported that in the early morning of January 20, a 31 year old White Plains woman reported that her purse was stolen while she was at Foleys Bar on Bedford Road. After a quick on-scene investigation, officers recovered the purse with items missing. The investigation continues and no arrest has been made.
On January 23, police said a 46 year old Pleasantville woman reported that the mailbox for her residence on Cedar Lane was damaged between the hours of 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. The investigation continues and no arrest has been made.
