The Pleasantville Firemans Parade featured bands, bagpipes and hundreds of fire trucks from departments from throughout Westchester County, displaying their fleets of vehicles in front of large crowds on their lawns along the parade route.
The parade began at Bedford Road School, followed to Memorial Plaza before turning onto Manville Road, then taking a left onto Edgewood Avenue and ending at the Pleasantville Fire Department headquarters on Washington Avenue.
Fire Departments from Greenburgh, Archville, Mahopac Falls, Pocantino Hills, Fairview, Glenville, Vahalla, Chappaqua, Ardsley, Hastings, Hawthorne, Briarcliff, Thornwood, Ossining, Mt. Kisco, Port Chester, Tarrytown, White Plains, Congers, Hartsdale, Mamaroneck and Scarborough were represented in the parade.
Providing the ceremonious drumbeat were Westchester Brassmen, St. Peters Drum Corps (of Torrington,CT), NYPD band, Pleasantville Fire Department band, The Regulators from Dover Plains, NY, among many fire department bands.
