The village recently obtained a $1.5 million grant and are exploring upgrades to the streetscape at Memorial Plaza and Manville Road. Mayor Peter Scherer has mentioned enhancing pedestrian walkways and eliminating the turn lane for vehicles from Memorial Plaza onto Manville Road, according to The Examiner.
Residents have expressed interest in keeping the space as a fun spot for Pleasantvillians to gather. Scherer said the village would ensure any reduction of parking spots would be offset before a project began, according to The Examiner.
