PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. Artgig Studio, a local interactive agency in Pleasantville, announced the development of a new educational application to be featured in the Apple App Store.
Alien Buddies is an engaging educational application that teaches young children various fundamental skills through games. Matthew Kicinski, President of Artgig, said the application follows suit many other applications developed by the local company.
Alien Buddies continues the homegrown effort under our Artgig Apps brand to produce apps we want to make, Kicinski said in a press release statement. Weve seen children testing the game and coming back to it on their own, and that is extremely satisfying.
Alien Buddies features three main game components: matching, dot-to-dot, and creative free play. The goal for the application is for the child to recognize various colors, shapes, numbers and letters. Although the basis is simple, Kicinski feels there is a unique feel to the games.
Matching activities are pretty common for little kids but I think weve put a unique and quirky spin on these games that kids and parents will enjoy, Kicinski said in a statement.
The application can be downloaded for $1.99 in the Apple app store and can be played on any iPad, iPhone or iPod touch device.
Artgig Studio was founded in 2002 and is located on Bedford Road in Pleasantville.
