Pace Grad Named Chief Nursing Officer At Hudson Valley Hospital

CORTLANDT MANOR, N.Y.— A. Bonnie Corbett FNP, MS, NEA-BC recently joined the NewYork-Presbyterian/Hudson Valley Hospital in Cortlandt as Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services.

Corbett joins NYP/Hudson Valley Hospital from NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in New York City, where she worked for nine years, most recently as Director of Nursing of the Pediatric Emergency Department. She also led a highly regarded team of nurses and staff as Director of Nursing for Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology – Pediatrics and Director of Nursing for the Pediatric Oncology and Infusion Centers.

“Many things drew me to this hospital, including the outstanding achievement of our Magnet designation and the very palpable commitment here to nursing excellence and quality patient care,” Corbett said. NYP/Hudson Valley Hospital was the first hospital in the region to earn the Magnet Award for Nursing Excellence and the only hospital to be designated twice.

Prior to her long tenure at NewYork-Presbyterian/Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, she worked at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx as the Administrative Nurse Manager of the Weiler Emergency Department.

Corbett is a resident of Scarsdale. She graduated from Iona College with a BA in Psychology. She earned her RN and MS as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Pace University. She is currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program of Nursing Practice (DNP) at Case Western University in Cleveland..
