PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. - Moving day is always a stressful one for college students.

But moving into a brand, spanking new dorm had Pace University athletes smiling Thursday, as the first students moved into the university's newest addition, the recently-completed Alumni Hall.

"It's even more beautiful than I thought it would be," said Ariana Padilla, an incoming field hockey player from Rhinebeck, N.Y., as she was moving her luggage. "I'm really excited to be here. It's really spacious, the design is nice. ... It's pretty exciting."

Alumni Hall is the first of the new dorms to open (the next will be in fall of 2016) as part of the school's current $100 million transformation project.

With practices having already started, athletes moved into the new dorm Thursday. Other students will move in on August 29.
