"I thought from the beginning it could have been hijacked," said Adrian Wiseman.
Wiseman also said that there is a possibility that it could have landed somewhere like an island. "I don't know what is going to happen in the future in terms of where it will be located, but I believe it will be located eventually."
Wiseman said that he is usually nervous when flying, and the disappearance of the plane does not help.
"Any time you get on a plane these things come through your mind. I'm sure people who take planes now will have this stay in their mind."
"I thought we were able to keep track of planes. It seems mysterious that it's just vanished," said Sasha Scott, a student at Pace University. "I think there's pieces of the story we're not hearing. It actually does make you wonder whether we're safe anywhere."
Jeff Olson said that he's been trying to follow the story, but there are so many pieces of information out there.
"There's so many conspiracy theories, I'm not sure what I believe," Olson said. "If I had a theory, I would say it's probably mechanical. The ocean's a big place, it's hard to try and find a plane out there."
Sue Castle said that there's been too much speculation about what could have happened to the flight.
"I think they've been releasing way too much information without sound backing. There's too much news coverage based on too little solid evidence," she said.
She said that last week airline pilots were on the news saying it could have been hijacked, basing their opinions on information that has been since been proven wrong.
Despite all the theories about what could have happened, she said she is not nervous to fly.
"Oh no, it's still a lot safer than driving on I-95."
