Meetings, Markets and Music in Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – The holiday weekend may be over, however there are many events and town meetings set to take place this week in Pleasantville. Here is a quick list of what's going on.

On Tuesday, Pleasantville will hold its Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meeting at 8 p.m. on the third floor of Village Hall on Wheeler Avenue.

On Friday, the Pleasantville Recreation Department will hold a special Splash Party at the Pleasantville pool for all children entering third or fourth grades. The event is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and is $10 per child. The entrance fee includes hamburger or hot dog, chips, ice cream and soda. No preregistration or pool membership is required.

Saturday, check out the weekly Pleasantville Farmers Market to stock up on fruits, vegetables and other goods. The market is open from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. and takes place in the Memorial Plaza parking lot.

After shopping at the Farmers Market, head over to Parkway Field on Marble Avenue for  the seventh annual Pleasantville Music Festival. The event will run from noon until 8:45 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at www.pleasantvillemusicfestival.com or at select business around Pleasantville. There will be free parking and shuttle services from the Pace University Pleasantville Campus.
