Flood Watch Is In Effect Until Noon On Thursday For Pleasantville

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The Flood Watch that the National Weather Service put a Flood Watch into effect at 2 p.m. Wednesday is in effect until noon on Thursday for Westchester County.

Rain became heavier into Wednesday evening, with high temperatures reaching only the mid-40s.

The forecast for Thursday calls for showers and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, with areas of fog before 9 a.m., followed by a chance of showers. New rainfall amounts of up to a half-inch are possible. A total of 2.5 inches of rain had fallen in White Plains as of 10 p.m. Wednesday.

Temperatures will warm  up to a high of between 72 and 74. Winds could gust as high as 20-23 mph.

The latest front is expected to clear from the area overnight on Thursday, but a chance of rain continues through the weekend.
