WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- A flood watch is in effect from 6 a.m. Tuesday until 1 a.m. Wednesday and a high wind watch from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday in Westchester County.
Rain is expected to be heavy at times on Tuesday with up to two inches possible. Temperatures will reach into the high 40s with a strong northeast wind that could bring gusts of up to 37 mph.
Rain will be likely once again on Wednesday with a high temperature around 40 degrees. Rain could change over to snow during the evening hours if the temperatures drop below freezing. Chance of evening precipitation is 50 percent with little or no accumulation.
Showers could linger on Thursday before noon. Precipitation is expected to leave the area leaving mostly cloudy skies and a high near 40.
