Flash Flood Warning In Westchester Tuesday Afternoon

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -  A flash flood watch is in effect for Westchester through 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Thunderstorms and rainfall at a rate of 1 to 2 inches per hour was expected to fall throughout the day Tuesday, according to The National Weather Service. Up to 3 inches of rain could fall per hour during the heaviest periods of precipitation, according to the forecast.

People living in low lying areas or those with poor drainage should be extra cautious.
