Emanuel A. LaPorte 71, of Pleasantville, N.Y. died on Sept. 18, 2011 at White Plains Hospital Center.
He was born on May 28, 1940 to the late Emanuel and T. Susan (nee Villani) LaPorte in Mt.Vernon, N.Y.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy Seabees from 1960-1964. Emanuel worked for New York Telephone Co. for over 32 years in White Plains, N.Y.
He is survived by his devoted wife Nici (nee Galetta) LaPorte of Pleasantville, N.Y. his loving children: Major Michael A. LaPorte of Pleasantville, N.Y. and currently stationed in Afghanistan, and Tracy N. LaPorte of Washington, DC and one sister, Michele (Daniel) Castagna of Brookfield, Conn.
Reposing Hawthorne Funeral Home, on Thursday 4 to 8 p.m.. Funeral Mass, Holy Innocents Church, Pleasantville, N.Y. on Friday 10 a.m. Entombment, Ferncilff Mausoleum, Hartsdale, N.Y.
