Car Flips After Husband Accidentally Hits Gas Pedal In Pleasantville

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. -- An elderly Pleasantville man and his wife were slightly injured when he mistakenly stepped on the gas pedal instead of the brake and hit a fence, flipping their vehicle, police said.

Pleasantville Police Chief Erik Grutzner said a local man and woman were injured slightly during a car crash.

The accident occurred Saturday in a parking lot on Marble Avenue, said Pleasantville Police Chief Erik Grutzner.

A Good Samaritan from a nearby apartment complex nearby heard the accident and called 911.

Grutzner said both the husband and wife were transported to a local hospital, but that their injuries were minor.
