Appeal Denied In Chappaqua Murder Conviction

CHAPPAQUA, N.Y. – A former Chappaqua resident’s request to have his murder conviction overturned was recently rejected by a state appeals court, according to lohud.com.

Carlos Perez-Olivo, 66, was found guilty in 2008 of fatally shooting his wife, Peggy Hall Perez-Olivo, 55, in 2006, lohud.com reported.

Carlos Perez-Olivo claimed a hit man had targeted the couple, and argued in his appeal that his statements to police the night of the murder should have been suppressed, according to lohud.com.
