White Plains’ Mokomiya Receives 'Good' Rating In New York Times

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- Ramen shop Mokomiya in White Plains received a good rating in a recent New York Times restaurant review.

Noted for avoiding a fusion approach, the authentic ramen soups, otsumami (small bites), buta kimchi, chicken katsu curry, and salmon teriyaki were among the favorites, according to the review.

In addition to serving sake and beer, they also serve calpico, a creamy sweet lemonade, and Japanese sodas, says the New York Times.

Located at 51 Court Street, Mokomiya is open Sundays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 9 p.m.; and Fridays and Saturdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 10 p.m. Reservations recommended on weekends. Click here for more information or to make reservations.
