PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Here’s a look at events happening around Pleasantville this week.

Monday, April 23

Pleasantville Board of Trustees Work Session and Meeting: 7 p.m., Village Hall, second floor. Pleasantville's Board of Trustees will gather for a work session at 7 p.m., followed by a regular meeting at 8 p.m.

Westchester Jewish Film Festival: Various times, Jacob Burns Film Center. The center continues its Westchester Jewish Film Festival with movie showings all week. Films will be shown at the center until May 2. The list of movies can be seen at the center's website.

Tuesday, April 24

Village Court: 6 p.m., Village Hall, second hall. Pleasantville Village Court is held every Tuesday.

Wednesday, April 25

Pace University's Master Plan:  5:30 p.m., Pace University's Goldstein Fitness Center. Pace's Senior Administrative Officer William McGrath will lead a conversation with the local business community about Pace's Pleasantville Campus plans and the future of the university.

Planning Commission: 8 p.m., Village Hall, second floor. The commission will hold a public meeting to discuss proposed site plan modifications to previously approved site plans at 9 Marble Ave. and 6-8 Paulding St.

Thursday, April 26

Book sale's friends preview: 6:30 p.m., Mount Pleasant Community Room. Friends of the Mount Pleasant Public Library are sponsoring a book sale with hundreds of bargains for children and adults. The sale will also include CDs and DVDs. The preview is for members of the Friends Organization, though residents are invited to join at the door. The sale will then open to the public beginning Friday. It continues through Sunday.
