What's Happening in Pleasantville This Weekend

Friday, April 20

Relay for Life: 4 p.m to 4 a.m., Pace University. The all-night cancer fundraiser will return to Mount Pleasant, with teams of people walking on the track at Pace University’s Goldstein Fitness Center. The relay, which benefits the American Cancer Society, consists of walking teams that raise money by selling goods or services, holding fundraisers, or receiving donations. For the entire event, each participating team has at least one member walking on the track.

Westchester Jewish Film Festival: Various times, Jacob Burns Film Center. The center continues its Westchester Jewish Film Festival with movie showings all weekend. Films will be shown at the center until May 2. The list of showings can be viewed at the center's website.

Saturday, April 21

Community Pancake Breakfast and Fire Department Open House: 9 a.m to noon, Fire Department Headquarters. The Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department is hosting an open house as part of a statewide RecruitNY initiative. 

Sunday, April 22

21+ Book Club: 2:30 p.m., program room at Mount Pleasant Library. Participants will discuss "Unnatural Selection" by Mara Hvistendahl. The book will be available at the circulation desk, and new members are always welcome.
