Firefighters, friends and family members have put out a call to help through a GoFundMe page for a longtime Croton family who lost everything in a fire.

The fire took place on Monday afternoon at the Cianfaglione family home, which was a total loss.

Thankfully, no humans lost their lives, but five cats perished in the flames. Two foster cats were able to escape, Croton-on-Fire firefighters said.

The couple, which are described "as a lovely family," on the GoFundMe page, are known for helping others all the time for years.

"They have babysat, pet-sat and helped others many times over the years including in times of crisis. Avid animal lovers, they have rescued many cats over the years -- and it is time for us to rescue them," the page organizers said.

Now, they are hoping other Croton and Westchester families will help, even if it's just finding a photo of their grown children, Vicki or David, or by donating a couple of dollars and that "you will be willing to open your hearts to help them get through this devastating experience."

"There are no words for how heartbroken we are," Vicki said on Facebook of the loss of the five cats.

The family lost everything, so all items are needed.
