Wherever patients are in their journey with breast cancer, from diagnosis and treatments to wellness and survivorship, NWH works to ensure a supportive experience with the best possible outcomes.

In addition to being a nationally accredited breast center and providing high-quality comprehensive care, NWH also promotes healing through support programs. At NWH, breast cancer patients have access to a variety cancer support groups and receive treatment from registered nurses specializing in acupuncture, aromatherapy, Reiki, guided imagery, gentle touch and reflexology. Meditation classes are also offered to promote relaxation and stress management. These classes and support groups have been shown to be benefit overall healing, and are an important link between treatment and recovery.

"If I had to have the experience at all, I couldn’t have asked for a better one,” said Joanna, who received her breast cancer treatment at NWH. "They supported you in every single way that was possible."

For many cancer patients, when the battle ends successfully and life begins anew, returning to a healthy lifestyle can be challenging. That's why NWH has developed the Breast Cancer Survivorship Program. Board-certified physicians develop individualized plans of care and education – helping patients navigate through the final phase of their journey.
